Have I seen the improbable, the impossible with You? I know I have thought about things, hoped for things that way, yet not sure if any have come to pass. It's sometimes sad I do not pay attention. I think of the visionary and his ability to imagine: there is this one driving desire to accomplish - everything else imagined, pursued, developed revolves around accomplishing the one dream.
I would pursue You in the same fashion, yet seem to lack the focus on the one desire to pursue. I don't think I have thought about specifics - but just to know You more. Perhaps I need to consider something specific of You I could pursue and set my course to its fulfillment. How do I, pursuing a single objective, benefit another? Can it be accomplished in my lifetime? Can I be a visionary with You?
You see how I set my course to improve the sharing of Your words, that they might have a greater impact upon others. I see the daily journey with You as moving towards a revealing of You within me, within my heart, and would communicate that better. Can I see an end from the beginning? Can I say this is my vision, what I would move to accomplish, and then allow You to move within my life daily towards this place? Is that not how You work - to see me as I am and move daily in my life for that revelation?
I can understand the need for you to have answers to your questions – they are important, and we can delve into them a bit later. For now My concern, and interest, is your desire for the need to focus on an objective, as if in doing so, you might find the one thing you could do to make you happy in life. Simply, there is only one thing, and you have the answer always.
Yet, the answer seems insufficient for you; you're wanting more detail, as if in that you might be content. In other words, finding contentment in the journey and not the Presence. Still, I understand the need for both. You want to know that just being with Me is all that is needed for a fulfilling life.
Consider your wife: is not the satisfaction of your heart met in just being with her? Is it required to be doing something necessary for moving the heart forward? Your joy is being with her only. Is it no less with Me?
Yet you know deeper within that I can do more for you – the things to possess, the expectations that can be met, the hoped for things of the heart. And I know it's difficult for you not to consider all of this and just be content with My presence.
But your understanding in this regard is becoming clearer as we move ahead: you sense that I am moving in your life, that I am aware of your desires – and in our way forward fulfill those desires, to seek to manifest them in the best possible way for you. And I will. You sense this, and have released them, and let them go into My care.
Yet there is that bit of impatience – and we work on that too. For now, continue your pursuits, and wait with anticipation to what will follow: for surely the desires of your heart will be met within the place of My hands.
"In My presence is all that one would desire; why not make that the purpose of one’s life – to be in My presence? For there is the fullness of joy, and of healing, and of prosperity, and of freedom, and of all that one’s heart would desire."
