I rest in Your wisdom concerning my friend. His was a life cut short to a day in his late thirties. Why so young? He leaves a wife and two young boys.
Was there not something wonderful to become with this family? Was there not the promise of purpose to be fulfilled in his young life? Was there not a master plan to reveal the kingdom of God through a long life devoted to You? These are questions I know the answers to – yet the devastation is still horrendous. I know it sounds judgmental, and harsh, and still there are more questions. It is real.
It is also life in You. Yet, I know life does not end at this moment but is a never-ending walk with You, an eternal path of discovery with You that moves a limited life here on earth into unlimited possibilities of a kingdom that never ends. If men were to see both in their possible fullness, even within this moment, they would choose the latter I'm sure.
Yet I also feel for those who remain in sorrow, in pain, in a future of question and doubt. What is to become of life now? I can believe for wonderful things even in the midst of deep sorrow. I can see joy after a time of grief. I can see new possibilities for the family, from hearts that seem to have no hope at this moment.
This all has been before and will be again. I know in my heart yet would still seek understanding. I would hear Your voice always.
Still you walk with Me in the peace I have given. Why do you not doubt My presence in this place, this moment in the lives I love so much? You fear what is to come for the family yet you sense the hope I provide. Why would that be after such a loss as this? Why are you not questioning Me why this is to be allowed, as if it were My choice to prevent? Even now you hurt for even having the questions in your heart.
I see, even in this distress, your desire for Me. And My heart is filled with your longing.
He is with Me and I cherish all with Me with a deepness of affection, of love unknown by any until they are in My presence. He has now seen, and is moving in the completeness of desire within his heart. He is home, for he is with Me.
And the family is too. I see their hearts, as I see yours, and would fulfill them even as his. Need they be the same path? It never is. As you know My walk with each is unique, and I would always have it so. For I cherish the uniqueness of each, the thoughts of each, the desires and hopes of each, the passion and purpose of each. As I will with each in his family even now.
I know you will remain with Me, and My heart is filled with your presence. Come, let us watch together what will become of his family: let us see his legacy, even unknown to him, be extended generations to come; let us witness together his impact through them upon this world of the future.
